Our Company

When Ewen Whitefield started "Business Systems" back in the mid 80s as a one man band, with support fellow farmers with the Lincoln College programme FRS, he had no idea that it would lead to where it is today. Rural was our base then. It still plays a major role in the business, however now of course we are also involved with a large number of the local businesses not only in Gore but in many of the outlying towns.

In Dec 1994 Clive Wilson Computers opened in what is now Pizza Hut at the north end of the United Video building. It had two staff . The business grew over the next 12 months and after acquiring 2 other local retailers the current premises was just to small. So the move to the current building was made where the business has remained since.

The Company has seen many changes over the past number of years from dot matrix printers to laser, desktops once being the major mover to nowdays with Notebook and servers.

In 2012 Clive Wilson Computers (Gore) Ltd introduced a partnership with Focus Technology Group (NZ) Ltd, and took the opportunity to re-brand the company name.  We are now known as Focus Technology Group (Gore) Ltd.  This has opened up a large number of opportunities for growth within the IT industry, and extensive benefits to you, our customer.

Focus Gore supply a wide range of services to a large client base from business in and around Gore through to Te Anau, up into Central Otago and through to Balclutha. Our rural clients still form a large part of that client base.

Focus Gore are community focused and support a large number of local events, schools and clubs and are proud to be an Eastern Southland business that is 100% owned & operated.
